"I love a good dive bar, I really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere checked all the boxes, but that's pretty much where it ended. They only had two people working the front end during the lunch hour. They were both handling the bar, taking orders and serving the food. We got beers and our food order taken pretty quick. We waited over 30 minutes for the food to come out. Luckily it was tasty. During the whole time we waited there no communication from the server as far as the back up. I have a lot more patience when there's communication. Finally got the check and it's cash only...one small sign above the bar register. The locals seem to love it. We came in based on good reviews, but unfortunately not for us."

"Stopped here on our way through town and it did not disappoint. We got the Cajun chicken sandwich and the chicken was small but otherwise everything here was great. We had the jalapeno poppers for an appetizer and they were delicious. They came with that really good ranch too. It was a Tuesday, so the micro beer was cheap only $2.50. Love this place. Cheap, homemade food, loud atmosphere bustling with all ages, and good cheap beer to top it off. We will definitely be back when passing through next time."

"Good drinks, good food, but no good payment to me, the customer. At other bars in the area, they pay me to drink their product, here, that's not the case and make me pay cash. It's 2021 people. People use cars. 40 minutes in line and a guy showed me a magic trick using my credit card, he gave it back bent and now I have to pay 100 bucks for a new one. If you guys pay me the money you owe me, your customer, my baby mama won't hurt me and i'll leave a second review. -NC"

"Cheapest lunch food I have ever encountered, I dont know how they stay in business honestly. We got a handmade cheeseburger, not a frozen puck, lots of fries, and our drink was included for $4.50! Place next door cost me $18.00 for a similar lunch. It's so much cheaper than fast food and it tasted great. Love this place!!"

"The Frisco Melt was . Wasn't expecting to find the best flavor and value in this dive bar, but was pleasantly surprised and throughly enjoyed the frisco melt and fries. As someone who misses Steak N Shake when I'm outside of Central Illinois- this is the perfect substitute. Definitely recommend - short walk from the train station if you are riding the Amtrak and are looking for some cheap and delicious eats and cheap drinks."
